Canadian Firearms Academy (CFA) is a proud Canadian company located in Surrey, British Columbia. Founded by Tony Di Salvatore and supported by his son Giuseppe, CFA and its instructors have quickly become one of the most popular firearms training facilities in British Columbia and all of Western Canada.

Our friendly atmosphere and concise instruction has made obtaining a Canadian firearms licence or CORE certification an enjoyable and exciting experience for those new to the sport. Private instruction is also available, ranging from beginning shooters to Olympic and competition training.

Tony Di Salvatore

Master Instructor · Founder

Beginning in trapshooting at age nine, Tony has 40+ years with firearms and is a federally certified Master Instructor of P.A.L. (formerly F.A.C.), holding his Master Certificate since 1994 — certified to train both students and new instructors.

He shoots Olympic doubles with the Canadian National Team, won the 2009 Championship, and has taken numerous national and international titles in PITA, ATA and Olympic Trap. He teaches the Canada Firearms Safety Courses, instructor courses, the CORE program, intro clinics and private lessons.

Giuseppe Di Salvatore

Certified Instructor · Olympian

By 19, Joe had built one of the most impressive shooting careers worldwide: 2005 Continental Champion (Gold), 2006 Canadian National Champion, a 2007 Pan American bronze, and qualification for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.

Named Canadian Male Shooter of the Year three years running (2006–2008) and 2009 Canadian Singles Olympic Trap Champion, Joe is a federally certified instructor teaching the safety courses, the CORE program and shooting clinics, specializing in Olympic / International (Bunker) trap.

Our Facility

A Real Training Ground

Located just 35 minutes from downtown Vancouver, our facility is divided into two areas: a comfortable multimedia classroom, and a simulated firing range designed to build confidence through safe, hands-on experience with real firearms.

Every firearm used in training has been deactivated and rendered completely unfireable to ensure absolute safety. Free parking is available on site.
