Terms & Conditions
Last updated: June 2026
These Terms & Conditions govern your registration for courses and your use of the website operated by Canadian Firearms Academy Ltd (“CFA,” “we,” “us”). By registering for a course or completing a purchase, you agree to these terms.
Registration and payment
Course fees are shown at the time of booking in Canadian dollars. You may pay by credit card, processed securely through Stripe, or by Interac e-Transfer. A card payment confirms your seat immediately. An e-Transfer booking holds your seat with an order number; your seat is confirmed once we receive your transfer. Seats are limited and are reserved on a first-paid basis.
Cancellations, refunds and rescheduling
Cancellations and rescheduling require at least 48 hours' notice before your scheduled class. If you provide at least 48 hours' notice, you may reschedule to another available date or request a full refund. Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the class, and no-shows, are non-refundable. To cancel or reschedule, sign in to your account or contact us at 604-562-7546 or tony@canadianfirearmsacademy.ca. Refunds are issued to the original method of payment.
Course materials
The Non-Restricted (PAL), Restricted (RPAL) and Combined courses include an electronic PDF manual provided with your registration. The C.O.R.E. course does not include a manual; a printed copy may be purchased as an optional add-on, with pickup arranged before your class. Course materials are for your personal use and may not be reproduced or redistributed.
Conduct and safety
Firearms safety is our highest priority. All firearms used in training have been deactivated and rendered unfireable. You agree to follow your instructor's directions at all times. We reserve the right to refuse service to, or remove from a course, any participant who behaves in an unsafe, disruptive, or inappropriate manner, without refund.
Certification
Course fees cover instruction, testing and certification administration. Certification requires that you attend the full course and successfully pass the written and practical components as set by the governing program. Completing a course does not guarantee a passing result, and passing a course does not guarantee the issuance of a licence, which is determined solely by the relevant government authority.
Gift certificates
Gift certificates are redeemable for the course indicated, have no cash value, are non-refundable, and cannot be exchanged for cash. To redeem, contact us with your gift code to schedule a class.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, CFA's total liability arising out of your registration or attendance is limited to the amount you paid for the course. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The version in effect at the time of your booking applies to that booking, and the current terms are always posted on this page.
